Thats why we use Ritual Coffee a local roaster from Cheltenham who we have grown with since early 2019.
OUR STORY
The Old Post Office was founded in early 2019 and operated as a furniture store, stocking a vast array of curios, jewellery and antiques in the neighbouring village of Kemerton when the existing village Post Office shut down. Business was extremely slow to begin but and in strange twist of fate Covid hit in March 2020 and villagers were crying out of somewhere to purchase coffee, cakes and ice cream during their daily one hour walk or cycle ride. Business boomed and it was decided we’d expand into a larger premises on the same cycle route and similar walks revolving around Bredon Hill. We were born with a a series of outbuildings, a creative community space a quaint courtyard and occasional garden. The cafe has come such a long way since its infancy and we continue to grow and improve. We now have an amazing team who work really well together and even though we may not be blood related – we do see ourselves as one big family.
THE BECKFORD COLLECTIVE
In our pretty courtyard is a treasure trove of original art, handcrafted gifts and cards by local artists and crafters. The Collective is open Thursday to Monday, 10am until 3pm.
Over 20 local artisans contribute to the collective, providing a huge range of beautifully crafted items. It’s the perfect place to pick up a gift or treat yourself. As you enter , you’ll be met with the gorgeous fragrance of the reed diffusers, candles and wax melts in stock . As you move around the little shop yo, you’ll find silver jewellery, upcycled furniture sting art, paper cut art, various types of bunting with many wood turned creations, tote bags, ceramics , original art and prints, stained glass, childrens crochet toys and much more…
